Pancake Tuesday Fundraiser

Transition year students held a fundraiser on Pancake Tuesday to raise money for GOAL.  Over 400 pancakes with a variety of toppings were made and sold to students. The sale took place in Ms McEvoy’s room and there was huge demand for the pancakes.  €285.75 was raised on the day which will be donated to GOAL. Earlier in the year TY students attended a workshop delivered by Louise Merragin (GOAL).  As a result students felt inspired to organise their own fundraising event in aid of GOAL. TYs organised this event with everybody being assigned a role, such as cooking, toppings, wrapping, selling and lots more. The fundraiser was a great success and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day. On behalf of transition year students we would like to thank everybody for their support.  A huge thank you also to our development teachers Ms Kelly and Ms McEvoy for all their help.  By Niamh Boylan, Eleanor Coyle and Grace Clarke.
