Daffodil Planting

During the week beginning Monday 22nd of September transition year students planted 1,916 daffodil bulbs in commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising under the watchful eye of Ms. Mc Cormack. The bulbs were planted along the avenue with each student planting 40 bulbs. All going well the daffodils should bloom in time for the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising. We looking forward to seeing them “fluttering and dancing in the breeze”. By Niamh Gilmartin and Aisling Burns, TY students.
