TYs have a “muddy” experience at Loughcrew!

On Monday the 11th of September, transition year students went to Loughcrew Adventure Centre, Oldcastle, County Meath. Apart from the obvious adventure experiences (such as the Zipline!) Loughcrew is home to one of Ireland’s oldest landmarks, the Loughcrew Cairns, which are megalithic strucutres built around 4000 bc as burial chambers. Visiting these megalithic tombs was very fitting as our TY theme of this year is architecture. The adventure centre provided a day long of fun filled times and muddy memories! We participated in different obstacle courses and challenges which were great team building activities. Overall our day out at Loughcrew was a great experience and an amazing start to our transition year. The pictures below are proof of just how muddy our day was.
