Peter O’Hanlon and his drama students from the Cavan Institute came to give the two Transition Year classes a drama workshop. We played different games, like keeping the ball off the ground, zip zap bling and 86421 which needed communication and eye contact. We then got into groups and acted out snapshot scenes of fairytales and films like Titanic, The Three Little Pigs, Shrek and Jack and the Beanstalk. We all enjoyed talking to the students on what they thought of the drama course in the Cavan Institute. Peter O’Hanlon also talked about a drama workshop he will be holding over the Easter and many people were interested. We really enjoyed the workshop and would like to participate in workshops like this again.
