Today the Transition Year students along with our visitng Dutch exchange students from T’Rijks school travelled to Rosnowlagh beach in Donegal to Turf ‘n Surf. Our plan was to try and catch some waves although that didnt quite work out for all of us. On arrival we were given wetsuits and split into two groups. While one group went surfing the other group took part in games on the beach. It was great fun but most of us had trouble staying on the surfboard!! Unfortunately we could not go ‘Blo-Karting’ because of the lack of wind but we made the most of our day out and then we headed for Bundoran. After wrapping up warmly we headed for well earned hot chocolate and cookies. Yum. We then strolled around window shopping and looked in the arcades. Plenty of photos were taken and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. We arrived home with a few bruises and tired heads!

I have always wanted to learn how to surf! It seems really fun to do! Our school would probably not allow us to go on a surfing trip.

Surfing looks like a lot of fun. I have always wanted to learn how to surf. I wish we could take a field trip to learn how to surf. But, Our school wouldn’t let us take a field trip. Since, we probably wouldn’t have enough money to.
