Art Department Update

Today Tuesday all of Ms Molloy’s and Ms O’Neill’s 2nd Yr Art students are on a trip to Dublin to visit the National Gallery of Art, Hugh Lane Gallery and to draw in the Natural History Museum and Collins Barracks.

This coming Thursday 12th February, Ms Molloy’s 5th Yr Art class is also off to Dublin to visit the Turner Prize winner – Duncan Campbell’s exhibition in IMMA, then to see Eileen Gray’s work in Collins Barracks going on to visit the National Gallery of Art and ending with seeing Renoir and Monet’s work in the Hugh Lane Gallery.

All TY students are off with Ms Smith. Ms Molloy and Ms Walsh to visit Glasnevin Cementry on the morning of Tuesday 24th February and visiting the Dublin Art Galleries and Museums in the afternoon.

Congratulations to the following 6 students whose artwork was chosen to represent the school in Doodle4Google Art Competition; Nicole Dolan TY, Orla Quinn 2nd Yr , Patrijia 1st Yr , Maegen McGivney 1st Yr , Zuanna Lauga 1st Yr and Jessica Taaffe 1st Yr.
