Today the transition year students organised a Carnival to help fifth year students raise money for the Lourdes pilgrimage fund. Having booked the gymnasium and planned a selection of 13 games, the transition years visited all the first year classes announcing the carnival.
On the day we had 10 TY students dressed up as clowns who welcomed the first years at one o clock to the carnival and who entertained with song and dance for the hour and twenty five minutes. Prizes were distributed to all those first years who had achieved the highest score in their game. In total a profit of €336 was collected and given to the fund. A great afternoon was had by all.
