Aoife McEntee and Orla Ward (Athena) write:
As part of our Dutch exchange students’ very enjoyable week in Ireland at the end of October, we joined them on their trip to Galway. We departed early on the Thursday morning, and 3 hours later we arrived in Salthill, Galway. When we got there we split up and the Dutch students and the TY class Apollo attended a Science lecture in Leisureland while Athena made their way to the CERN exhibition and the Aquarium. We learned all about the “Big Bang Theory” in the exhibition and had an enjoyable few hours looking at the different sea life at the Aquarium. After these activities we had 2 hours free time in Galway city. The girls took to the shops as the Dutch boys had a game of soccer with some Irish in Eyre Square. We arrived home eventually that evening after a long day – but now we can’t wait until April 2013 until we get our chance to go over to them in Holland!
