This afternoon there was a wonderful atmosphere in the school as we celebrated our international cultures, organised by the EAL department for Friendship Week. Students from four continents filled our Concert Hall with a fantastic display of song, dance, words, images, products, customs, costumes and symbols of their countries. The parents, students and teachers who attended were treated to a short concert followed by an international buffet. The group of student who staged the event are pictured here with Mrs Farrell and Ms McEvoy.

That sounds really fun! How many different types of cultures were there?

I wish we could do something like that at our school.I think it would be really cool and it would also show people that there are lots of cultures out there. 🙂

This looks great! Pupils here are really reaping the rewards of finding out about other countries and cultures through the QuadBlogging, but sadly we don’t have an event like this at our school.
