Yvonne Brady and Emily Brady (TY) write:
As part of our introduction to TY, the two classes Europa and Hibernia went to Tanagh Outdoor Adventure Centre with Ms Doonan. We met the centre staff and started with a talk on safety. Then we divided into five groups, to allow us to get to know all the others in our year.
Our first activity was to go to the forest. We participated in various games and finally went bog-hopping. Everyone worked well together and got to know each other better.
After this we had some well needed lunch! We them split into two groups, one went canoeing and the other went to the “slippery slope”. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon activites, and we got to swim in the river.
As you can see in the picture the day was enjoyed by us all and the whole group participated well. It gave us the opportunity to make new friends for the coming year.
