On the 4th of April five students from Transition Year travelled with European Studies teacher Mrs Gaffney to represent the school, and Ireland, in our Comenius Project. The visit was hosted by Agora, a Spanish school in the small town of Saint Cugat near Barcelona.
AnnMarie Connolly, Kate McDonald, Sarah Olwill, Gráinne Power and Yvette Schutten spent the week attending Spanish school, visiting Barcelona and embracing Spanish culture with open arms. We stayed with Spanish families and got the chance to see Spanish lifestyle first hand in the houses where we spent the week. We also got the chance to see all the famous landmarks in Barcelona – and as a bonus went to the beach to lap up the Spanish sun!!!
The five students are pictured here at Barcelona’s famous Sagrada Familia cathedral, and with one of the street artists on La Rambla.
