The two Transition Year classes, Monnet and Schuman, attended the brilliant “Psycho Spaghetti Two” in the Newgrange Hotel in Navan, with our two English teachers Ms Murtagh and Ms Buckley. Performed by Ger Carey, it is a brilliant comedy written specifically for young people around the ages of fifteen to eighteen. The hilarious one man show attempts to answer the question just what is going on inside the teenage brain? The show aims to get teenagers to laugh at themselves and to view themselves as part of a bigger picture. This show is particulary suitable for Transition Year students, Leaving Cert Applied, YouthReach and even grown-ups. There were many other Transition Year groups in the audience, and we’re not joking when we say that not a moment passed where there wasn’t an outburst of laughter from the students. It was very enjoyable. We had also attended Psycho Spagetti One at the beginning of the year so we were afraid it wouldn’t beat the first one – but it lived up to our expectations 100%.
