Lucy McCarron, Deputy Head Prefect writes…
Our Student Council held the annual Bake Sale this week to raise money for our neighbours St Christopher’s Hospice. It was a huge success again this year, thanks to the huge efforts of the Student Council.
We started planning weeks beforehand, putting up posters and enlisting the help of classmates to bake. The response from the students was overwhelming as they all got baking over the weekend.
On the day of the Bake Sale the Student Council got busy organising the venue and laying out the food. Both students and staff came to purchase the tasty treats at lunch time, and the whole event ran smoothly.
An impressive sum of €977 was raised on the day thanks to the generosity of staff and students and the hard work of the Student Council. This donation will be greatly appreciated by St Christopher’s Hospice.
